Rebecca is responsible for overseeing the implementation and ongoing refinement of Institute of Play's unique professional development model, with a focus on developing multi-dimensional teachers who make important contributions to the learning community. She leads programs and workshops that cultivate highly collaborative learning environments where teachers and game designers work together to design game-like curriculum aligned to Common Core and 21st century standards. She is a former New York City public school teacher and holds a PhD in Urban Education from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York.
