I am currently the director of Unlocking Silent Histories, a non profit organization that engages indigenous youth in the art of documentary making. I obtained my PhD in education from the University of Pennsylvania. In my career, I have held various leadership positions in schools, companies, and universities. My current research examines how the interrelationship among culture, history, and social interactions. This research then informs the design of learning environments where youth take ownership of their own learning.
